The legend of Chris Taylor will once again be remembered this coming April, when a 20-strong group of Stags supporters will pay tribute to the man, by sponsoring the match ball for the vital home clash with Exeter City on Saturday 1st April, in his honour.
As expected, our 2017 tribute to our dear friend Chris Taylor has now sold out, those joining us have received a special invite this morning informing they have made an exclusive guest list.
To improve our online presence still further, and prove we are very much active, we would like to introduce our followers to a new feature called ‘NewsBump’.
Generally fanzines should take the pee out of everything their respective club and local rivals do or say, and ‘NewsBump’ intends to serve that very purpose.
We had a pleasant surprise when settling into the New Inn Public house ahead of the first home league game of the season against Cheltenham.
For a new fanzine was awaiting behind the bar, so a pound was quickly handed over the bar for a read and we have to recommend other Stags supporters go out and search it’s first issue.
As part of our plan to honour the legend that is Mansfield Town supporter Chris Taylor, we will be sponsoring the match ball for the home game with Exeter City on 1st April 2017.
If you would like to join us for what will be the 2nd anniversary of Chris’s passing, then please read on.
The Westfield Stags will be running a ‘Roy Palmer’ tribute day for the Luton Town away game on Saturday 22nd October, and want as many friends and people who knew Roy to come along and join what will be a fun filled occasion.
As part of our continued archive section on the website, we bring you plenty of articles from years gone by.
In ‘Were All Doomed’ from Issue 6, the editor rants on about the state of football.
We have found a new online home for all our work, and all supporters of Mansfield Town far and wide are welcome to come and view our ramblings and our all too brief history, not only from a few years back but our recent comeback in April 2016.
Our FREE issue that made it’s way to the general public back in April 2016 has now just topped over the 1,000 views and download mark, with these expected to grow still further when the website for DejaVu becomes LIVE from 1st August.
Plans are already underway to follow up April’s 2016 Chris Taylor Memorial Day, in which the fanzine was revived and a very eventful day to Hartlepool was undertaken.
Although in it’s infancy stages, we should have an announcement soon on what the plans are to continue to honour a true Mansfield Town legend.
